To celebrate the exciting return of Arrested Development, a few of us greeting card artists put our heads (and pencils) together and whipped up a (fake) mini-line of greeting cards that anyone can download and print out for free!

It’s super easy! Download the high-res files here. They even come with a dotted line for the fold and should print easily to your basic home printer.

And if you like them, please share them to your heart’s content!

Taking the mic

So, for those of you that haven’t heard yet, a friend and I launched a radio show called Techcetera (Mon 12-1PM, SURG FM) a few weeks ago. Today I had the chance to listen to some of the recordings and it revealed a few things about myself:

  • At times, I talk extremely fast to the point where I sound like Busta Rhymes doing Why Stop Now
  • I “um” and “ahh” a fair bit, stutter and say “I mean”, “like”, “you know” like a ditz
  • I lack a coherent stream of thoughts
  • I can’t pronounce “sousveillance
  • Radio is busy, transitioning between talk and songs, but it’s a lot of fun

I’ve never been a particularly smooth talker, but that’s something I’m hoping to improve. And with that said, my cohost is disappearing for 2 weeks, so now I need to figure out what to do with those episodes…

Guest panel? A radio play? Chiptunes? I have no idea :/ Feel free to throw suggestions at me or if you want to guest :)

What I want, I don’t have.

What I have, I don’t need.

What I need, I don’t know.

I just don’t know.

16. Favorite movie

Oops, I can’t believe someone actually replied to this.

Please forgive me if I backtrack on this in the future, but right now my favourite movie would have to be Toy Story. It’s a movie that defined my childhood - from my dinky little plastic Buzz Lightyear (no lights, unfortunately :( ) that I played with, to the Disney Animated Storybook version that I would play day-in and day-out on my computer. (driving RC away from Scud was always such an adrenaline rush!)

It’s a movie that deals with petty rivalries, the fear of abandonment, abuse and neglect and (ultimately) mutual respect and resolution. The fact that they did it with toys just makes it all the more better. :)

ellenthankyou said: Heh do you like nigahiga’s videos?

I enjoy nigahiga’s style of cheesy, low-budget, non-sequitur humour. He seems like a nice guy too. Haven’t really kept up with his videos recently though.

tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?

Lamp. I love lamp.

‘It was much pleasanter at home,’ thought poor Alice, ‘when one wasn’t always growing larger and smaller, and being ordered about by mice and rabbits. I almost wish I hadn’t gone down that rabbit-hole — and yet — and yet — it’s rather curious, you know, this sort of life! I do wonder what CAN have happened to me! When I used to read fairy-tales, I fancied that kind of thing never happened, and now here I am in the middle of one! There ought to be a book written about me, that there ought! And when I grow up, I’ll write one — but I’m grown up now,’ she added in a sorrowful tone; ‘at least there’s no room to grow up any more here.’

I feel like this post isn’t complete without his moving monologue on the issue. (he’s 20 years sober this year!)
